Four-legged combat brothers: Ukrposhta presents a new charitable series of stamps "Fluffy Battalion"

On September 26, Ukrposhta will put into circulation a charitable postal issue "Fluffy Battalion", which consists of two postage stamps - "Fluffy Battalion". Kitties" and "Fluffy Battalion". Puppies". The issue is dedicated to the indomitable spirit of the defenders of Ukraine and their four-legged friends who help Ukrainian soldiers survive the difficult trials of war.

During the war, animals become important companions of the defenders of Ukraine, giving them warmth, loyalty, helping to distract from the harsh reality of war, reminding them of the comfort of their home. Many cats and dogs rescued from the combat zone become combat brothers of Ukrainian soldiers. The photos depicting our defenders with animals reveal the best human qualities – mercy, kindness, love and care. The military, tired after completing combat missions, often find solace in the company of animals. Some of them also help our defenders in the fight against the Russian aggressor: they participate in mine clearance, patrol the streets, detect subversive reconnaissance groups, defend checkpoints, and help evacuate people from hot spots.

In wartime, animals, like people, often find themselves in situations where they need help. Ukrainians rescue dogs and cats, evacuating them from the combat zone with their families or carrying them in their arms from destroyed buildings. However, not all animals have a happy ending – some lose their owners or are left on the street.

Ukrposhta strives to help those who remain defenseless and in need of human kindness in wartime. That is why the postal issue “Fluffy Battalion” is of a charitable nature, and the funds received from the sale will be transferred to support animal shelters.

The circulation of each stamp “Fluffy Battalion”. Kitties” and “Fluffy Battalion”. Puppies” is 300 000 copies. The denomination of the stamp is U (corresponds to the tariff for sending domestic simple letters without declared value weighing up to 50 grams) + 5,00 UAH (additional denomination intended for deduction for social (charitable) purposes). The number of stamps in a sheet is 6. The circulation of the “First Day” envelope is 35 000 copies, cards are 30 000 copies each. The artist is Natalia Kohal.

Tired and exhausted soldiers, returning from combat missions, are warmed by the love given to them by rescued and sheltered animals.

The postal issue "Battalion "Fluffy"" is charitable. The proceeds will be sent by Ukrposhta to help animal shelters.

On 26.09.2024, the postage stamps "Battalion "Fluffy". Kitties", "Battalion "Fluffy". Puppies " will be put into circulation and considered valid for payment of postal services in all postal offices.
