ENGINEERING FOR KIDS® is one of the top U.S. enrichment programs in STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering and Math - education for children ages 4 to 14, globally certified by STEM.org. It is our mission to bring STEM (MINT) education to children in a cohesive, fun and challenging way. We do this through an exciting unique curriculum that invites children to use their natural curiosity to explore engineering and science concepts, and to design, create, and improve solutions to engineering problems. All of this while helping children build critical thinking and problem-solving skills, while having FUN! :)

FORMAT: Weekly programs, Summer Camps, Workshops, Field Trips (Schulausflüge) from/to schools and kindergartens, Company Events and Birthday Parties.

LANGUAGES: German / English.

ACTIVITIES: We offer a variety of engineering and technology programs. Our students get to design hot air balloons, build rockets, roller coasters, program and fly drones, build computers with Raspberry Pi, design and program with LEGO robotics educational kits, rolling robot Sphero and Robo Wunderkind, program their own video games and Apps in java script, create their own polymers, experiment with 3D Printing and Augmented and Virtual Reality, Mechatronics, Minecraft Modding (coding with Java), Roblox (coding with Lua), and so much more!

TRAINING: All training is provided by Engineering For Kids® on an ongoing basis.

LOCATION: Währinger Straße 22 / Thurngasse 4, 1090 Vienna (U2 Schottentor), or at the premises of schools and kindergartens.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Background in STEM / MINT fields, Psychology, Neuroscience, or in the field of Education, both Kindergarten or School/University.
• Other areas of studies are accepted, in case of extended experience in working with children.
• Enjoyment in working with children of different ages.
• Leadership skills and ability to guide children through variety of activities.
• Native English or native German speaker (a good command of English required, as all our curriculum comes form the U.S. in English).
• Responsible and reliable personality.
• Creativity, flexibility and adaptability are an asset!
• Availability in the afternoons and/or on the weekends.
• Minimum number of hours: 5-7 hours per week up to 20 hours/week, during holiday weeks more.
• Important: Availability in summer 2022 for weekly summer camps.

COMPENSATION: Will vary from Geringfügig position, starting from below 485,85€ pro Monat, and above - depending on your availability and actual hours agreed upon. Hourly compensation possible! During holiday camps period, payment is on weekly basis. All training is paid.
